For “Fiber and Fabric from the Ground Up”, tentatively scheduled for the last weekend in Jan.
- Attendees at these weekends tend to be interested in learning new-to-them skills and crafts rather than more specialised extensions to what they already know.
- I’m especially interested this year in having even more classes on how to re-purpose, up-cycle, and re-use fiber and fabric that would otherwise be wasted.
- I’m hoping that one of the 2 days will be at Fibre Space, giving us access to a group of sewing machines for teaching.
- Standard payment is $30 per instruction-hour, so for a 2 hour class you get $60 (plus some PR$ and a gift certificate for future Urban Homesteading School classes, which you can use yourself or give away – you can also attend any other classes at this weekend for free). That’s intended to pay for your prep time as well. If you propose a class which has an unusually time consuming prep, that may be negotiable.
If you have an idea for a class you’d like to teach, from 1 to 3 hours long, please fill out the form below to give me the details I need to fit you in. Got questions? Use the Contact Page!
